Mazcare gets it; nothing is worse than getting into your Mazda when it’s been sitting in the summer sun. The interior is so hot, that it burns you when you make contact with it. There are ways you can keep the inside of your Mazda a bit cooler, even when it is hot and humid outside. It’s important to note, however, that the tips we are going to provide below do not keep the interior cool enough for children and pets. As such, never leave them in your parked Mazda in the summer.
Use Shades/Shady Spots
Take advantage of shade whenever you can, even if you have to produce it. Purchase shades for your Mazda’s windows that can be installed with suction cups. Once installed, pull the shades down to prevent the sun from beating through the windows. Purchase a shade for the windshield, as well, that can easily be put up when you park the car. Make sure to shade the rear window, as well.
Another way to shade your Mazda is to take advantage of any garage you can find. Naturally, you already park your Mazda in the garage at home, but when you are out and about, if there is a garage in which you can park your Mazda, use it. This not only helps to keep the Mazda cooler because it is out of the sun but also secures the vehicle because there are likely security guards in the garage.
Cover the Interior Components
You can also help to keep the interior cooler by using towels to cover things. For example, if you cover the steering wheel, it will not be hot to the touch when you are ready to drive the Mazda. The same is true if you cover the seats and the center console.
Open the Windows/Doors
Another way to help cool off the inside of the Mazda is to crack the windows when you park the vehicle. This allows a tiny bit of air to flow through the Mazda and also gives the hot air away to escape from the inside. You also should open the doors and allow the Mazda to air out before you get into it.
Have an AC Inspection
Finally, make sure to have your Mazda’s air conditioner inspected annually to ensure that it can cool off the inside quickly when you turn it on. Annual AC inspections allow us to replace any faulty parts and ensure you have plenty of refrigerant in the system.
